Castello di Oliveto is located in the heart of Tuscany, in the lush countryside surrounding Florence from which it is just over 30 km away and about 40 km from Siena and Pisa, 18 from San Gimignano, 35 from Volterra.
You must take the A1 highway in the direction of Florence and exit at the "Firenze-Scandicci" take the Fi-Pi-Li highway towards Livorno and exit at "Ginestra Fiorentina" and continue towards Montespertoli. Go through the center, keeping to the right, towards Castelfiorentino. At the end of the center town, turn left, indication Lungagnana-Certaldo. After 7km you will reach the four-way intersection, where the dirt road leading to the Castle begins.
You must take the A1 highway in the direction of Florence and exit at the "Val di Chiana" exit, take the road to Siena - city and following all the indications, take the Si-Fi highway in the direction of Florence with the "Poggibonsi Nord" exit. At this point take the new 429 road towards Certaldo - Castelfiorentino- Empoli. Just before the town of Petrazzi, you will find the sign OLIVETO 2 on your right. That is via di Monte Olivo and after about 3km you will find the castle on your left.
Once in Pisa take the Li-Pi-Fi highway in the direction of Florence and exit at "Empoli" at this point take the SR 429 road in the direction of Castelfiorentino - Certaldo - Siena. At the end of the SR 429 continue on Via Sanminiatese, for about 3km, after the roundabout take the first exit for Via Machiavelli, at the first roundabout take the second exit and stay on Via Machiavelli, at the second roundabout take the second exit and stay on Via Machiavelli. At the third roundabout take the second exit to enter on the SR 429 and after 500 meters turn right and take Via Lucardese and follow the signs for Castello di Oliveto which is located after 4 km on your right.
